Nice one Chris (You can get the video to link directly by clicking on the camera icon available through the "plus" sign at the left while typing here)!
All looks like it makes good sense. The barrier is simply chord change speed which can be examined in isolation using the ideas discussed in the article linked above and again here.
Here we can measure the top speed we can change (perfectly) between C and F (one of the building blocks for the chord sequence at hand). I demonstrate this in the video below:
We can do the same for the F and Dm chord pairing, for Dm and Bb, and for Bb and F. This gives us all 4 links in the daisy chain to make the full sequence.Which is the weakest (slowest) of these 4 pairings? It's good to focus attention there. The records sounds like it runs at about 70bpm so we'll need each pairing to match (at least) that speed and of course, the faster you can execute them the better! Playing through the whole sequence with a full strum may yield results but I predict much faster progress if zooming in on the building blocks as described here.Any questions?
Its all in the muting. Tip of the first finger can touch out the low E string and we can bend finger 3 back just enough to mute the high E string. Strum 6 strings and only 4 will sound!Since we're not required to barre with finger 1 it doesn't have to stay straight.
Think this is the right one. I'm looking at the guts of it which is:F / / / C / / / Dm / / / Bb / / / Or, in an easier version, with capo on fret 3:D / / / A / / / Bm / / / G / / / For a simple open Bm chord (if barres are currently out of reach) try one of these. Either will fit in place of Bm in any song:
How do you get on trying a "basic strum" (demonstrated below using the chords G & D) on that chord sequence?

My first practise session.
Looking at taplature and using suggested fingers and strings ommiting 1st and 6th string for the B chord.
Will upload
